In celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of Archangel Michael Orthodox Church, we invite you to join us for our second educational event event. This all day Lenten retreat will explore navigating the ever-changing social landscape facing today’s Orthodox Christians. The retreat will be led by Fr. Joshua Makoul.
Check-in will begin at 10 am and continental breakfast refreshments will be served. The retreat will begin at 11 am. Lunch will be served at approximately 1 pm and the retreat will continue until approximately 4:30 pm. Attendees are invited to join us for Vespers at 5 pm at Archangel Michael Orthodox Church.

OUR GUEST LECTURER - FR. JOSHUA MAKOUL Fr. Joshua Makoul worked in the counseling field for sixteen years in family-based, school-based, and outpatient settings and has served as the dean of St. George Cathedral in Pittsburgh since 2012. He received training in family therapy at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center and in cognitive behavior therapy at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Fr. Joshua earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, his master’s in counseling psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, and his M.Div. from Holy Cross Seminary in Boston. He is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania for counseling. |
