In 2002 the Board of Trustees formed a Renovation Committee. It was decided to not simply renovate the entire church, but to beatify it as well: to make it a shining example of the traditional Orthodox sanctuary design by having iconography placed throughout the temple's interior. After visiting several churches that had recently completed similar projects, the committee selected Niculai Enachi to be our iconographer. In addition to new iconography, many other improvements were also made during our renovation. Some of these improvements include: Installation of new, hand-carved Iconostas, Altar Table, Table of Oblation, Vestment table, Gospel stand, confession stand, tetrapod, and four analoys; New candle stands, reliquary stands and ambo railings; New lampadas, candelabra in the altar, and four reliquaries containing relics of our American Saints: St Herman of Alaska, St Innocent, St Tikhon, and St Raphael; New carpeting; New sound system; extension of the Ambo; and the installation of a computerized lighting system.
By the Grace of God, our beautiful, newly-restored temple was consecrated on Saturday, October 15, 2005. Click the gallery below to see some pictures of our church.
