The Orthodox Church only sanctions and performs marriages that take place between a man and a woman. It does not conduct, condone, or recognize same-sex marriages in any way, shape, or form. This is not “man’s law,” but God’s Law; for He said unto Moses: “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination” (Leviticus 18:22) and, “If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both have committed an abomination” (Leviticus 20:13).
