Although we might live in a kind of God-protected buffered zone, this world is still by and large antagonistic towards followers of Christ. Even here in America, it’s no bed of roses for those who believe and practice our Faith. Yet we shouldn’t be surprised by this, for our Lord warned us that the world would react towards us the same way it reacted to Him (John 15:18-20) and that we must suffer and “bear our cross.” Therefore, we must encourage one another and support one another through those times of suffering and tribulation and remain true to the faith, for in the end your reward will be great in heaven.
