EARLY DEVELOPMENTS
FATHER PRISLOPSKY STARTS HIS MINISTRY
On August 2, 1933, the Reverend Fr. Vladimir Prislopsky was assigned to the parish and shepherded his flock for 37 years. During his tenure the parish developed, flourished and expanded to become one of the three largest parishes in America.
Through his efforts, the parish was successful in 1936 in refinancing and lowering its debt. In 1937, the annual report–Vykaz (Vikas) was instituted so that everyone would know how money was spent.
The iconostas was installed and blessed in 1938. Later that year, additional property was purchased adjoining the church.
