“To each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” (Eph. 4:7)
In this verse, the Apostle Paul emphasizes that every believer receives grace uniquely tailored to them. This grace is not a “one-size-fits-all,” but is given to the “measure of Christ’s gift.” This means that God, in His infinite wisdom, distributes spiritual gifts and graces to individuals based on their needs and capacities.
In other words, God equips us with grace, talents, and abilities…but He does so that we might employ them for His benefit: to serve His church, to serve one another, and to glorify God by actively using your talents. Therefore, you should aggressively want to use your talents and skills in a show of thanksgiving for what God has given you – and to step up and fill the role of those who labored in the church before you.
