Faith is a belief with a strong conviction; a firm belief in something for which there may be no tangible proof; complete trust in or devotion to. Faith is the exact opposite of doubt. Yet, the Bible gives us perhaps one the best and most eloquent definitions of what faith means: “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the conviction of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1)
Faith is possibly the single-most important element of the Christian life. In the Book of Hebrews it says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who serve Him.” (Heb. 11:6)
