I hope to have a very positive impact on the church and make a lasting impact on my church, community and the world through my education and future endeavors. I hope to help teens and younger kids try to better understand what it is that they are believing in and help them feel comfortable to ask questions, I will also help them learn how to get involved around the church, and I also help out where I am needed around the church and community and build a stronger connection to god myself.

I will first help connect the teens and younger kids to better understand the church services and what it is exactly what we believe in. I will also make them feel safe to ask questions and help themselves feel comfortable to be in church. I will do this by inviting the kids to come stand with me or talk to me whenever they would like and I can even go and help them ask their questions to Father John if I don’t know the answer. I can help them learn songs in choir and how to read the music or I can help them know which part of the service we are at and what they are doing in the altar at this time and why. I thought that this would leave behind a positive impact because as a kid growing up in church I never understood anything that was going on, in Sunday school they tell you a little about it but they talk more about the Bible and the lives of the Saints which don’t get me wrong that stuff will stick with me for life but I wish I knew. By the time I was a teen I finally learned what was happening in the service but then I didn’t know why we were doing those things and I was scared to ask questions because I felt embarrassed that I didn’t know these things already. So I would help the kids to learn and better understand what exactly is going on while also helping build a bond with them to have someone in the church that they are comfortable around and someone that isn’t their parents that they will talk to.

I will also make a long lasting impact on my church by helping get the kids involved in church activities and help to show these resources to them. The Jr. R. Club wasn’t a big thing for the last couple of years because now one knew about it. I want to change that and have people sign up and plan more events with them and really help the kids have a good church family and group of friends that will stick with them for pretty much the rest of their lives. A lot of the kids are very involved with the HALOS right which is great to see that there is something there for all of them to come together outside of just seeing their friends at church. But the problem is that when they grow out of the age of that they are supposed to move up into the Jr. R. Club but they don’t necessarily know that in fact most of the 10-18 year olds don’t even know that it existed in the church. That is going to change. I am going to help Nick Memorich make the Jr. R. Club a great group that people look forward to each time they meet and help build a strong bond between all of the kids.

The last way is for myself, with all of this listed above I just want to make sure that I am involved whenever help is needed in the church and community. I want to be involved every way I can be. I will do this by putting my name out there for the thing I can do.  Like, babysitting I can put my name somewhere in the church that says that I can babysit whenever needed to just help parents out so they can see that and it can be a familiar face for their kids. I also want to better my relationship with God and just overall become more connected to him which will connect me more to the church. I will do this by reading my bible more and making sure I say my prayers before every meal and bed and when I wake up and never take anything that he has done for us for granted. God is good, God has created this world and we can turn to him whenever we need it and he will listen every time.

With all of this I hope to make a positive impact on my church, community and the world through my education and future endeavors. By helping when needed, helping the kids learn about what goes on in church, and help them get involved themselves.
