I’ll begin to answer your question by offering this quote:
“The youth of today love luxury. They have bad manners, and they show contempt for authority. They love to chatter instead of study. They contradict their parents, gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.”
Interestingly, these words were not written by modern man, but by the philosopher Socrates in the year 400 BC! Throughout all generations, it seems as though adults look upon the youth and judge them in a similar fashion. Perhaps adults need to remember their own adolescence and have a little patience with the children and young adults of today. Yet more importantly, we must all continue to encourage them and set a good example for them to follow because, as Gandhi once said, “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.”
