Congratulations to our parishioner, Tommy Visocky. On November 17, 2025, Tommy passed his Eagle Board of Review with Lake Erie Council and is a member of the Eagle Scout Class of 2025. Tommy worked his way up thru the ranks as a Cub Scout with Pack 218. In 5th grade he earned the Arrow of Light Award and joined the brotherhood of Boy Scout Troop 218. Under the direction of Justin Beets (Troop Master) and Jeanette Becker (Eagle Scout Project Coach) Tommy completed his Eagle Scout Project at Audrey’s Outreach in Brook Park Ohio in March of 2025. Tommy completed 35 merit badges to date and earned 2 Eagle Palms. Tommy collected over $8,000.00 worth of non-perishable food, household items, clothing and shoes for those in need. It took him over 8 weeks to complete the task and multiple work days at the outreach. Tommy and his brother David (Eagle Scout Class of 2024) still volunteer at the outreach.
Troop 218 has grown with leaps and bounds. The Troop recently added all the names of Eagle Scouts to date on the trailer. Note the first Eagle Scout was Robert J. Januska in 1949. Congratulations to Troop 218 as their success continues. Over 76 years of scouting and 76 years of Eagle Scouts.
Tommy has gone on many adventures with the Troop – multiple campouts including scout weekend at West Point New York Military Academy and this past summer high adventure 50- mile canoe adventure at Cole Canoe Base Camp in Michigan. The troop is also noted at many community events such as Night to Shine, Wreaths Across America and community yard charge.
Tommy attends North Royalton High School. He is an honors student, participates in marching band, freshman band, cross – country and track. He is an acolyte at Archangel Michael Orthodox Church in Broadview Heights.
