Glory to Jesus Christ!
Spring is upon us, and there is much to do around our campus as we complete our preparations for Pascha. A parish cleanup is scheduled following Divine Liturgy on Lazarus Saturday. I encourage all of you to come and help as we prepare for this great Feast.
Our new Board will transition this month. Our 2026 Board members are: Darlene Dimitrijevs, President; John Mindala II, Vice President; Sandy Turk, Financial Secretary; Fran Foster, Assistant Financial Secretary; Sharon Glagola, Treasurer; Bob Reilly, Assistant Treasurer; Nick Rolin, Recording Secretary; Veronica Kormos, Assistant Recording Secretary; Marge Dzmura, Trustee; Lisa Lyon, Trustee; and Cheryl Andrews, Trustee. Our 2026 auditors are: Judi Wienclaw, Stephen Ramsay, Michael Gaydos and Russell Alford. I look forward to working together as we begin this new term, and I encourage you to share your ideas for our parish with me or any member of the Board.
Our Lenten journey was enriched by meaningful testimonials on almsgiving. Veronica and Nick Kormos began this effort on February 22, followed by Marge Dzmura on March 8, Greg Mindala on March 22, and Len and me on March 29. I encourage you to revisit these reflections by watching the YouTube recordings of the Divine Liturgies from those dates. As we are reminded in Luke 12:48, “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.”
Thank you to all who have provided meals following the Presanctified Liturgy and who host our coffee hour. Thank you also to those who prepare and deliver meals to St. Herman’s. Your stewardship is a true service to our community.
As Holy Week approaches, I look forward to continuing our journey together in anticipation of the joyous Feast of Pascha.
Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
Darlene
