Fun Times with Parish Families, Winning Smiles all around at Game Night

On Bright Friday, April 29, 2022, over 120 parishioners of all ages gathered together for fun, fellowship, laughter and good food at Parish Game Night. As part of Archangel Michael’s ongoing Centennial Celebration, the Activities Committee had the pleasure of organizing and hosting the event. Members include Natalie Boyd, Terri Baranich, Laurie Cook, Sarah Cook, Anna Hayes, Kathy Kovalak, Lisa Lyon, Sue Rigby, Jackie Sipko, Monica Visocky, and Belinda Weaver. Many other parishioners volunteered to help with the evening’s festivities.

The Not-So-Newlywed Game, with recent 50th anniversary couples, proved to be an entertaining and close competition. A tie breaker was needed to arrive at the winning couple, Kathy and Bob Kovalak.

During Team Trivia, teams were tested on topics of Parish History, Cleveland / Ohio, and Grab Bag. Congrats to the two teams who tied for the win.

Not hard to believe at Archangel Michael, it was Team Kormos A vs. Team Kormos B in our Family Feud match-up. Winning team members Connor Noll, Emma Noll, Evelyn Lynagh, Beth Noll, and Kathy Kormos squeaked out a win.

Kids took part in engaging activities and crafts in their specially designed areas. The younger kids were welcomed by a carnival arch into their area, while the older kids enjoyed having an exclusive room.

Tasty, fun food available at stations included a taco bar, pulled pork sliders, mac and cheese, and cakes and cookies. Yummy!

Congrats to Candy Count winner Johnny Mindala III for his just about perfect guess.

We are still looking for the winner of the 50/50 Raffle, with total ticket sales of $275. If you have the winning ticket of 9920190 please contact Natalie Boyd at [email protected] or 440-463-6604. Raffle proceeds will be forwarded to IOCC for their Ukraine crisis response program.
