For the past five years, Subdeacon Ben Wharton has faithfully led the choir of Archangel Michael Orthodox Church, sharing his love of sacred music and his dedication to our worship. With patience, encouragement, and a generous spirit, Ben has guided our singers—many of whom are not formally trained—helping us find our voices and blend them together in praise of God.
Leading a choir is about far more than music; it requires patience, leadership, and a heart for serving the Church. Ben has brought these gifts to our parish, helping our voices become one in prayer and enriching our Divine Liturgy through the beauty of sacred song.
As Ben concludes his service as our choir director on November 8, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for his five years of leadership, commitment, and fellowship. We will miss his passion for music and the many ways he has served our parish. We are also grateful for the friendship and fellowship we have shared with Ben and Anysia as members of our church family.
Thank you, Ben, for helping us lift our voices in worship, for encouraging us to share our gifts, and for reminding us that beautiful music comes not only from our voices, but from hearts united in faith and love for Christ. May God Grant You Many Years!
