Our Sunday School year concluded with a wonderful ice cream truck celebration! Thank you to Angel Mindala and all of our Sunday School teachers for your dedication and commitment to the religious education of our youth. Your time, effort, and ministry are truly inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for all you do.
Our Memorial Day celebration included a meaningful flag dedication ceremony conducted by our parish Scouts. The flag was generously donated by the Timko family. During the ceremony, we honored our veterans and remembered the fallen soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Following the dedication, parishioners enjoyed a hot dog celebration sponsored by our 55+ Club.
We are now accepting scholarship applications for students continuing their education after graduating from high school. Please visit our website to access the online application. All applications must be completed and submitted by June 30, 2026. We are grateful for the dedication of our Scholarship Committee, under the leadership of Natalie Boyd and Nick Rolin, and for their continued ministry to our parish community.
In April, we experienced a significant increase in donations, and I am pleased to report that we are currently $24,000 ahead of last year. We have now achieved one-third of our goal toward eliminating the 2026 operating budget deficit. This is encouraging progress and a reflection of the generosity of our parish family.
As summer approaches, many of us will be traveling, taking vacations, and spending time away from home and our church community. Please remember that the parish’s expenses continue regardless of attendance. Your ongoing contributions remain important and play a vital role in supporting the continued operations and ministries of our parish.
I would like to extend warm wishes to all fathers, grandfathers, and godfathers. Happy Father’s Day! We hope you will join us for a celebration at the Shanty following Divine Liturgy. Special thanks to our Senior R Club for organizing this event!
In Christ
Darlene
