Now may You rule and bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever. For You are the Lord my Lord; You spoke, and with Your blessing, let the house of Your servant be blessed forever. 2 Samuel 7:29
December was a busy month as we celebrated the Nativity Feast. In preparation our Sunday school hosted a beautiful Christmas pageant and breakfast with Santa! Please join me in thanking Angel Mindala for her leadership in planning this event. Our choir recorded and sang for the 2025 FOCA Virtual Christmas Concert. Woodside hosted a truly wonderful New Year’s Eve gala this year, and Len and I were grateful for the opportunity to attend and welcome the New Year together with friends and community.
Our Annual Parish Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 15. As we prepare for this important gathering, please join me in offering heartfelt thanks to Jeff Weaver, Bob Kovalak, and Denise Silon Louie for their dedicated service on our Board. Their insight, involvement, and commitment to our parish have been a blessing to us all.
As we look ahead, we have several Board positions to fill:
- Recording Secretary – responsible for developing official meeting minutes using AI-generated notes and meeting recordings.
- Trustee at Large – attends monthly Board meetings and participates in parish decision-making.
- Assistant Treasurer – assists Sharon Glagola with counting weekly collections.
Board meetings are typically held on the third Wednesday of each month, begin at 7:00 PM, and last approximately 1½–2 hours. Most meetings are conducted virtually via Zoom. Each position carries a two-year term, except for the Assistant Treasurer, which is a one-year term.
Our parish continues to grow and thrive, and new voices on our Board and Ministry Committees bring fresh perspectives that help align our work with the needs of our community. Please prayerfully consider offering your time and talents in service to our parish.
As we begin this New Year, let us also renew our commitment to God. I encourage you to schedule a time for Holy Water to be brought to your home, so that you and each member of your family may be personally blessed and reminded of God’s abiding presence in your home.
With gratitude and blessings,
Darlene
