June was a busy and joyful month in the life of our parish! We began the month celebrating Fr. John’s 30 years of ministry to our parish. As we mark this milestone in his priestly service, we give thanks to God for the many blessings bestowed upon our parish through his faithful leadership. Fr. John’s love for Christ, dedication to His Church, and pastoral care have enriched our community and guided us in our spiritual journey. May God grant him many blessed years!
Please join us in thanking Cheryl Andrews and her team—Anysia Wharton, Michael Gaydos, and Greg Gaydos—for their beautiful Pentecost decorations. Despite uncooperative weather, the church looked wonderful as we celebrated this great Feast Day.
A day of miniature golf with Fore Corners was held on Sunday, June 14, and brought together over 60 participants for a fun afternoon of fellowship and community.
Throughout the month of June, we have also been blessed to see many of our parish fathers serving during Divine Liturgy alongside their sons. Our Father’s Day celebration included recognition of our graduates and concluded with a hot dog gathering at the Shanty. Thank you to our Senior R Club for hosting this celebration and helping make it such a meaningful day.
At its recent meeting, the Board approved replacement of an air conditioning unit at Woodside. This need was discussed at the Annual Meeting and is necessary to continue hosting events throughout the summer months. The majority of the replacement cost will be funded through our Endowment Fund.
As summer continues, many of you will be traveling, vacationing, and enjoying time with family and friends. We wish you safe journeys, meaningful experiences, and many wonderful adventures. As you enjoy these months away, please remember that the work and ministry of our parish continue throughout the summer, and your continued prayers and support remain deeply appreciated.
In Christ
Darlene
